Anse du Carbet

Martinique has been shaped by the volcano, which has a great impact on the northern beaches. It is a black sand beach, because the town of Carbet is actually at the foot of the volcano that can be admired while taking a bath.
Generally, the water is calm. However, the bath is quite deep, so be careful with children. It is a sandy beach with a lot of space and no shade. The midday hours are very very hot with this volcanic sand. Think about it. If you don’t want to dance on the embers while trying to reach your towel without sandals. On the stroke of noon, go and eat! There are a few small stores and many restaurants nearby, right on the sand.
