The Natural Park of Martinique and the City of Sainte-Marie, with the help of the Association Les Centaures, organize every year on August 15 horse and mule races on the beach of Sainte-Marie. The Natural Park contributes to the perpetuation of this cultural tradition, and also suggested that this event be scheduled during the high tourist season to help highlight the cultural heritage.
