From Cap Chevalier, in the extreme south of the island, a boat trip allows you to discover: the four islands classified as ornithological reserve (Hardy, Percé, Burgaux and Poirier islands), the mangrove of the Baie des Anglais and the Chevalier island.

The ornithological reserve

The ornithological reserve is one of the most important breeding sites for seabirds in the Lesser Antilles, where five species nest every year from December to September.

The Baie des Anglais

The Baie des Anglais is known for its remarkable mangrove area and its seagrass beds. It is part of the “Grand Site” of the town of Sainte-Anne and is integrated in the project of the extension of the nature reserve.

Ilet Chevalier

Surrounded by fine sandy beaches and cliffs, îlet Chevalier is an ancient small volcano with a strombolian relief. A circuit allows you to go around it and discover a xerophilous vegetation composed of shrubs and cactus.
